WATCH prepares students for careers in the health field through a challenging curriculum, ultimately leading to an Advanced Regents Diploma or Nursing Assistant State Certification. As a small and tight-knit community, WATCH creates a socially supportive learning environment, ensuring student success in all aspects. Our partnerships with programs in higher education form a smooth transition into college and career programs, while our lead community partnership with Brownsville Multi Service Family Health & Wellness Center (BMS) provides students with a steppingstone into the public health career sector. All students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement courses and exams for college credits. WATCH students enter to learn, and leave to achieve wellness in their own lives, within their communities, and beyond. Students will explore a range of careers, acquire 21st century employability skills including financial literacy, earn paid work- based learning opportunities and early college credits and credentials, engage in 1-1 advising and will graduate prepared for college and/or careers in NYCs growing healthcare industry.
