PS/IS 66, home of the Canarsie Blue Jays, is a vibrant 3K-8 school where academic excellence, innovation, and community come together. Located in the heart of Brooklyn, our school is known for fostering a warm, inclusive culture that nurtures both student achievement and personal growth. Every student is seen, heard, and challenged through rigorous instruction, creative expression, and real-world connections. At PS/IS 66, students engage in culturally responsive learning experiences and participate in unique programs like the Disney Musicals in Schools Broadway Junior partnership, music therapy, martial arts, peer mediation, and chess. Our middle schoolers explore college and career readiness through our "Suit Up" initiative, Career and Financial Literacy (CEF) Fridays, and a thriving student podcast. We celebrate student voice and leadership through the Student Council and National Junior Honor Society, and promote wellness through our Zen Den mindfulness space and "Lunch with the Principal" incentive. Our dedicated educators use research-based curricula like Wit & Wisdom and Math Ready.
