Khalil Gibran International Academy (KGIA) is a New Visions small school in Downtown Brooklyn that focuses on building community through the Humanities. We are guided by Community, Care, Rigor, and Relevance in all areas of our school. KGIA offers students the opportunity to be known well as individuals and a supportive academic environment for all learners. We embrace and celebrate the many cultures of our students and their families through monthly community celebrations and workshops. Our school campus is a state-of-the-art facility with a regulation size gymnasium, science lab, and outdoor terrace. We provide opportunities to study Arabic and French languages and explore careers that require bilingual and multicultural skills. In developing these skills, students will be well-prepared for college, careers, and positions as civic leaders in their community. Our students graduate with an understanding of different cultural perspectives, a love of learning, and a desire for excellence. We are committed to providing a rigorous education where students can reach their full potential and become influential leaders in the world.
