At High School of Applied Communication, our mission is to empower every student to succeed through the values of hard work, persistence and determination. Our school provides a small caring and supportive environment for students to develop marketable communication skills for the 21st century, which includes courses in Microsoft Office, website development, journalism, financial literacy, and public speaking. We also offer a rigorous college preparatory curriculum focusing on literacy development, problem-solving and critical thinking. Students are also provided full access to a wide variety of AP courses. LaGuardia Community College provides our students access to College Now classes. Our school requires students to wear their uniform on a daily basis.
