The High School for Service Learning is a small school that prioritizes a tailored approach to education, promoting our students' personal, professional, and academic growth. We empower students to be both college and career ready well-equipped to enter the workforce or pursue higher education, with a strong foundation of practical experience and academic achievement. Students have the unique opportunity to earn over a year's worth of college credits while still in high school through our partnerships with Brooklyn College, Medgar Evers College and Arizona State University. To prepare students for the workforce, our school is a FutureReady NYC and CareerReady Modern Youth Apprenticeship school offering job readiness training in Business, Finance, Technology and Healthcare. For students who express interest in other careers, we provide external resources in these fields as well. Through these programs students acquire 21st century employability skills including financial literacy, earn paid work based learning opportunities, early college credits and credentials, and engage in 1-1 advising allowing students to apply their classroom knowledge to real-world scenarios.
