Food and Finance High School is a dynamic, college preparatory school that blends rigorous academics with real-world career and technical education in the culinary arts and finance. All incoming 9th graders take AP Human Geography, and students have access to a range of AP courses and CUNY College Now classes. We are proud to offer the Smart Scholars (Gamechanger) Early College Initiative, our newest partnership with the New York City College of Technology (City Tech). Through this competitive and nationally recognized CUNY program, students can earn up to two years of free college credits and even complete an Associate Degree in Hospitality Management while still in high school. The program features an integrated curriculum and strong support services that foster a true college-going culture, preparing students for success in higher education and the workforce. Our CTE program is enriched by our lead partner, Cornell University Extension, which brings expertise in sustainable food production, nutrition, and science. Students develop critical thinking and leadership skills through hands-on projects, internships, and entrepreneurial ventures. Our partner, Food Education Fund (FEF), plays a vital role in supporting our students by providing exclusive scholarship opportunities and access to internships that help them explore career paths and gain professional experience. Additionally, students earn scholarships through competitive programs such as Careers through Culinary Arts Program (CCAP) and America's Best High School Chef, sponsored by Monroe College. With a strong foundation in academics, early college access, industry certifications, and real-world experience, FFHS prepares students to thrive in college, careers, and life.
